How does Main Entertainment differ from other entertainment companies?
Main Entertainment is a unique entertainment company comprised of a handpicked selection of Melbourne’s best musicians who not only play acoustic music at your event but DJ your event too. This saves you time and cost when trying to book services through several entertainment companies. By working with one company, your event will receive the comprehensive music experience it deserves.
What songs will the musician play at my event? Can I choose the music?
We have an extensive songlist which can be sent via email, but if there is a song that you want that does not feature on the list, just ask us in your pre-event meeting! We love learning new songs.
When will the musician arrive to set up?
We arrive approximately 45 minutes to an hour before the start of your event. This ensures that we have adequate time to set up, perform sound checks and make sure everything is in place. However, If you require us to set up at a different time we can be flexible.
Will my Musician/DJ take requests?
We like to get a taste of what you would like to be played in the pre-event discussion. We are more than happy to cater for additional requests that come directly from the client on the night. If a request comes from a guest and we feel that it would fit nicely in the context with the style of music, we will likely play it. If a request comes from a guest that we feel is out of context with the music that is working for your function, we would politely explain that we don’t feel it is an appropriate song to play.
How will the musician dress for my event?
All our musicians dress smartly but obviously the nature of the function could impact how formally or informally a musician will be dressed. If there is a certain dress code that you would like your musician to dress, please inform us prior to the function.
Will there be a microphone present for speeches?
We like to bring along a few microphones to each gig. We are more than happy to let you use one for your speeches.
When do I pay?
A deposit is required to confirm the booking. The remainder must be paid four-weeks prior to the event.
What if we want the musician to play for a bit longer than we booked for?
Extra time will be charged at $75 per half hour at the musicians discretion.
Does Main Entertainment provide MC services?
Whilst we don’t include MC services in our packages, we are more than happy to offer MC services at an extra fee.
What equipment does Main Entertainment use?
At Main Entertainment we pride ourselves on quality professional audio and lighting equipment. Our in-house equipment is enough to service a small to medium size venue for up to 150 guests or a mid-sized wedding. If your wedding is in s a larger venue, we may have to hire extra sound and lighting reinforcement for an additional fee.
